That's perfect for supplying some of the higher powered electrical loads in the evening, or running essential loads during a grid failure.
So for example, a 200Ah 12V lead acid battery bank comprising 2 x 100Ah batteries and giving an effective 1.0kWh of storage at 50% DOD could realistically be replaced with 1 x 12V 100Ahr lithium battery which provide 1.1kWh storage at 90% DOD.In many cases the original lead-acid battery bank being replaced may have been too small to fully meet the client’s requirements and therefore consideration should be given to replacing it with a Lithium-Ion battery bank with a larger capacity.

When used with solar inverters, 1 x 100Ahr Lead Acid battery will deliver 500Wh usable energy when discharged at 50% Depth of Discharge (DOD).Therefore, to take into account the expected current draw of the inverter, Solar Corporation recommends that the minimum number Lead Acid or Lithium batteries be linked to the site-specific base load as follows:
